Breastfeed or bottlefeed

Oct. 28th 2009

Do you breastfeed your baby

I would like to know how many people breastfeed their babies.  It seems to me that I see more and more people bottle feeding.  If you are one of the people that bottle feed your baby why? Do you think it is okay not to breastfeed just so you can have an alcoholic drink?

Baby will not sleep

Oct. 28th 2009

My son cries if I do not rock him to sleep

My son that is six months old will not go to sleep unless I rock him. Whenever I try getting him to sleep on his own he will just cry until I come and rock him.  I have to sooth him and lay down next to him to get him to sleep which is okay at night. However I have to do this during the day as well, and it is just to hard for me to do and get anything else that needs to be done.

Halloween costumes for kids

Oct. 28th 2009

What are your kids going to be

I have a four year old son.  This will be his first Halloween that I will be taking him out to trick or treat around our neighborhood.  He is really looking forward to it.  I am however not sure what to let him get dress up as.   Anyone have some good ideas for a four year old boy.  Something not scary.

Oct. 27th 2009

Rice cereal is it too soon.

I have a baby boy that is almost three months old.  He eat around ten to 12 ounces and I was wondering if I can start giving him some rice cereal.  Would it be okay?  If so how thick should I make the cereal?    Any advise would be helpful to me.

How can a parent identify dental caries

Oct. 23rd 2009

How can you tell if your baby has dental caries

I have a 14 months old son and his teeth are in good shape.  I know this because we just came back from his dentist.  However when I was in the waiting room,  I heard the dentist talking to another mother and telling her that her baby has dental caries.  My understanding of carries is limited but I believe that it is really bad tooth decay.  The mother said that she did not see any signs of her baby teeth being bad.

Baby dental caries

Oct. 23rd 2009

Can my baby have caries

I have a seven month old baby boy.  I started to notice a brown spot on his tooth that I thought may have been a bit of food.   I bush it to no avail.   I have an dental appointment in three days.  I just do not understand how my baby could be getting caries when I take care to brush the teeth he has.  I do not leave him with a baby bottle in fact I breast feed him most of the time.  So what can be the cause of the cavities?
