What are the best baby care books to get

I am going to be a new momie,  and I want to read books about baby care so I can have a better understanding of what to expect with a new baby.  I just do not want to waste my time reading the bad books I know that are out there.  I would love to know from others what they felt was a good baby care book.

If we are not talking about fictional books, then there is no one good or bad book in which to learn things from.

There is normally something one can take and learn from even the worst of books. If you only come away with saying I would never do that. Then you would have learn what not to do in your opinion.

Same goes for a book that is deemed the best baby book ever. What is written in that book may or may not work for you and your family.

So in short I feel read anything kind of baby care book you want. Try different things until you find what works best for you. One book may not hold all your answers heck 10, 20, 30 books may not be enough.

So enjoy your new little one and enjoy reading you can never do enough.

I do not remember the bad books that I may had read. I think one of the best books about baby care would be Dr. Spock’s book. It was my bible of baby care and it helped me out greatly with my first child.

After I had my second then third all the baby books that I would read where good for laughs. You start to realize that you can not raise a child based on a book. You just have to start doing what works best for you and your family.

One good thing to keep in mind books are a good resource, but try not to take every thing one book has to offer as the only way to go about parenting. I read What to Expect two time before I was even pregnant, and to be frank it scared the heck out of me.

After I gave birth I put the books away. I was reading so may different books all saying different things that it just got me upset as to what to do. I felt that I needed to trust my own instinct for a while.

Now that my children are a little older I have been able to start reading child care books and take them for what they are worth. Some things I found useful and other not but I did what I felt would be best.

A few of the books I read were:
    1) Focuses on Attachments
    2) Not letting your kid cry
    3) Becoming Baby Wise
    4) Raising a happy baby
    5) Dr. Spock
