Baby dental caries
Can my baby have caries
I have a seven month old baby boy. I started to notice a brown spot on his tooth that I thought may have been a bit of food. I bush it to no avail. I have an dental appointment in three days. I just do not understand how my baby could be getting caries when I take care to brush the teeth he has. I do not leave him with a baby bottle in fact I breast feed him most of the time. So what can be the cause of the cavities?

Take your baby to the dentist. The sooner the better. It could be the start of carries. When it comes done to it carries is a case of having cavities. The brown spot my be the being of a cavity forming.
If your baby has carries which you dentist will know about looking at your baby’s teeth. Ask him about getting sealants for the remaining teeth. Sealants will help your baby to protect her teeth from additional cavities.

Even if you do brush your baby’s teeth she could have a case of week enamel. When you go to your baby’s dental appointment ask you dentist. See if that may be the case. If so do not worry sealants work great for that.

Although some reports show that it would be indeed in fact harder for a baby to get carries from breastfeeding. It still can happen. So to help avoid that from happening just clean your baby’s teeth after he is done feeding.
If your son is anything like mine, he may start to fall asleep while feeding. You may not want to wake him up in odder to brush his teeth. For that I would suggest using dental wipes. They are easy to use and I get by most times with out waking my son.
