Baby will not sleep
My son cries if I do not rock him to sleep
My son that is six months old will not go to sleep unless I rock him. Whenever I try getting him to sleep on his own he will just cry until I come and rock him. I have to sooth him and lay down next to him to get him to sleep which is okay at night. However I have to do this during the day as well, and it is just to hard for me to do and get anything else that needs to be done.
Any advise on how I can get my baby to sleep on his own.

I know how you feel. I too had that same problem with my kids. I just eventually had to put them in their bed while they were still awake.
They would cry but I would go back into their room and let them know I was not far away. I did not pick them up to rock them. This can be hard but you just have to ween yourself and your baby from that co depended need.
It took me about four to five weeks and yes it was very hard on me more so I think then my babies. However you need to be consistent do not get week or you will be back to square one.

Well I am doing the same thing my baby is only a month old. I can not stand to see him cry so I guess I do spoil him a little. My mom says that it is going to get old if I pick him up every time he cries.
But he is still just a little baby so I do not care. I guess however, if you are finding it hard to take care of other things during then try putting him to bed with a teddy bear that ticks like a clock. I have one and my baby really likes it. It may help you good luck
