I think my son is walking funny

Dec. 31st 2009

My son is fourteen months old and walking.

Well I think that is good that he is learn to walk he started a little after is first year.  Now however, I watch him walk and it seems to me like he is walking oddly.  Like is right side is faster then the left or that he is taking bigger steps with the right then then left so the left is catching up all the time.  Just kind of odd to me.   I will address this issue with the doctor when I see him for his next appointment in the early part of January.

Pregnant wife and health/dental insurance

Dec. 31st 2009

My work insurance will not cover for pregnant wife.

Okay so I have been working my job for about six months and got insurance only for myself at the time.  I got married about a month ago and my wife is four months pregnant.  My heath/dental insurance said that I would have to wait until open enrollment before I can add my wife to the plans.  That is not for another six months.  By then the baby will be born. This seems a little unfair it like they do not want to pay for the cost of us having our baby.

Too old for baby teeth

Dec. 30th 2009

My daughter is 12

My daughter is 12 years and a few months old and still has eight baby teeth.  The dentist said her adult teeth are there just not ready to come out yet but are in good lineament.  That she may need to just have her baby teeth pulled for them to come up.  I would think a girl her age would have lost her baby teeth by now.

Early Childhood Teeth Decay It’s Bad News

Dec. 30th 2009

As soon as a baby’s first teeth appear—usually by age six months or so—the child is susceptible to decay. This condition is often referred to as Baby Bottle Tooth Decay or Early Childhood Caries (cavities). In some unfortunate cases, infants and toddlers have experienced severe tooth decay that has resulted in dental restorations or extractions. The good news is that decay is preventable.

Two baby showers for one baby

Dec. 30th 2009

My sister in law had a baby shower

My sister in law had her baby shower that her mom gave her.  It was very big shower with all her family and most of her friends.   Now two weeks later I have another invitation for a baby shower being given to her from a friend of her at work.   This sucks I went to her first shower do I have to go to the second one?  I know it is my brother wife but I already bought her a really nice gift at the first shower.    Am I expected to buy another gift to this second one?

Average weight for an 17 month old baby

Dec. 30th 2009

My son is twenty-one pounds and seventeen months old.  Is that about the right weight average for a seventeen month old baby?  He seems small to me.  His doctor does not say anything about his weight so I guess he is okay.  What weight your baby at seventeen months?

At what age did you start potty training your baby

Dec. 29th 2009

When did your baby stop using diapers

I have a little time before I need to worry but I would like a good idea on when you should start trying to potty training your child.  I would love for my son to learn as fast as he can but do not want to pressure him at the same time.

3.5 month old son is getting a tooth

Dec. 29th 2009

Teeth so soon

Okay so I just notice that my son is already getting a tooth in.  He seem find and is not fussing to much because of it.  However, it is the eye tooth  that is coming in first.  I thought it is weird he is teething already,  but for that tooth to come in first seems odd to me too.  Anyone else baby teeth at such a young age?

My sixteen month old baby still sleeps with me.

Dec. 29th 2009

My daughter is going on seventeen months and still sleeps with me.  I have tried getting her into her own bed in her own room but she will have none of it.  It was easy to let her sleep with me when she was a new born since I did not want her to be upset and I am a signal mom.
