When should my child first see a dentist
“First visit by first birthday” sums it up. Your child should visit a pediatric dentist when the first tooth comes in, usually between 6 and 12 months of age. This visit will establish a dental home for your child. Early examination and preventive care will protect your child’s smile now and in the future.

That is so true and I wish I would have know that sooner. I did not take my son to the dentist until he was almost two. At the time that was what most people did since dentist did not take babies.
My son had four cavities by the time I took him in. Although I did clean his teeth three times a day. He is six now and has not had a cavity since but in hind site I should have taken him to the dentist once his first tooth came in.
