Vitamin D and baby teeth

Monday, Jan. 11th 2010 7:41 PM

Can low Vitamin D levels affect your baby teeth.

I heard that Vitamin D is important to maintain the right level while pregnant.  That a baby  born to a women who has  low Vitamin D levels  during pregnancy may have an  increased risk for tooth enamel defects and early childhood tooth decay.   Is that true?  If so how do you know if you are taking or getting enough Vitamin D?
