Baby Nanny, Choosing the right person for the job

Mar. 31st 2010

I will be having twins girls in another three months.  My husband and I have been talking about hiring a part time nanny during the day.   I am a work at home mom which works very well for us.  I have been able to take care of my two year old son and continue to work at home.  There are just a few days out of the week I need to go out to appointments for my job and I take my son with me or have my mom look after him.

Baby Teeth Question

Mar. 30th 2010

Baby tooth seems to be cutting in funny

My son who is now six months old is getting some more teeth cutting though.  He has a few other teeth on the bottom that came in normally.  Now he is starting to have some top teeth come in and one of them does not look like it is cutting though right.  It seems to look like it is coming out of the side of  his gum instead of straight out from the top.   Will this work it self out or is the tooth coming out too high up is gums?   As anyone ever had this problem with baby top teeth coming out?  Should I take him to the dentist? Or is this normal?

Rum for teething pain?

Mar. 30th 2010

My six month old girl has be having some teething pain lately pretty bad.  The baby Tylenol only works  a little in helping her with the pain.   I have gotten her teething toys and rings but she not really into them.  My brother inlaw keeps saying to rub rum on her gums that it will help with soothing the pain.  He swears by this but I am just not to sure.  Anyone know if that is any good for a baby?

Teething with a little fever

Mar. 29th 2010

My five month old daughter is teething with two teeth right now.  I think because of the teething she has a little fever that comes and goes.  She does not have any infections or a sore troth so teething does seem to be the issue.

My son Dillon is currently eleven months old and is cutting some back molars on the top and bottom.  He seems to be very uncomfortable with is molars cutting though.  He did not  have teething issues until now and is currently a very unhappy baby.  He is crying at the drop of a hat.  I try my best to comfort him but to no avail.  his hands are aways in his mouth and he is starting to grind his teeth a little too.

Having sensitive teeth after giving birth

Mar. 27th 2010

I just had my daughter about six months ago.  I never had any problems with my teeth.  I have no cavity and they are nice and white.  Now since after having my daughter my teeth have become really sensitive to hot or cold food or drinks.   I am not sure why but can it be because of the pregnancy?   Anyone else have sensitive teeth after pregnancy?   I will be seeing my dentist as soon as he can get me in,  but would love to know it this is normal.

Sixteen Months old with full set of baby teeth

Mar. 27th 2010

My son has a full set of baby teeth and I have been trying to get him to eat from a high chair.  He will not eat off his own plate nor will he self feed.  He will eat if it is from my plate and only if I feed it to him.   He will not try anything on his own so what can I do to get him use to eating on is own in a high chair?  What food can I try?  His teeth are all in so I am thinking most food should be fine.

Nine month old with four teeth

Mar. 26th 2010

My daughter is nine months old and has only four teeth.  The dentist said her teeth are fine and no cavities or anything weird going on.  I was a little worried because I let her sleep with a bottle for about a week before I know how bad that was for her.

Maintaining healthy Baby teeth

Mar. 25th 2010

My daughter is two months old and I wanted to know if it was okay to let her have her bottle when she sleeps.  She is really converted by having her bottle.  Now I know I should not do that when she start cutting her teeth, because of the risk to having tooth decay.   What about before she has her teeth?  Is it okay then?  Since she still has some time before her teeth come in I would like to know thanks.
