Baby sleeping through the night

Teething baby

My daughter has just started teething.  She use to be a really good sleeper and now that she is teething sleeping though out the night is a thing of the pass.  I do not know how to help sooth her when her gums hurt because of the teething.  Teething rings are not helping.  It is like she is over tired and does not want to be bother by them.  Is there anything else I can do to comfort her?

    Things to try:
    1) cut up wash cloth into squares, wet and freeze – baby can try chewing on these. For really tough nights: you may also try putting a drop of benadryl on wash rag – will help make her drowsy. Check with your pediatrician – benadryl’s label says not for kids under 2 years old – but ask.
    2) finger pressure: with clean hand rub areas that are teething
    3) family bed: nursing through the night

    Good luck.

Why not just rub some of that numbing stuff on her gums? I don’t think it will hurt her. Maybe you could put it on a pacifier instead. I did that and my son stopped crying even though he was awake half the night.
