Seven month old daughter and no teeth

Friday, Apr. 9th 2010 7:09 PM

My daughter is going on seven months and has not yet started teething.  I am a little worried since my sister children started teething a six months.  My daughter does not show any signs of teething yet.  What is the latest that a baby would be teething at?  Should I take her to the dentist now to make sure she has teeth coming in?

My son started teething at nine months which I though was very late. He has all is teeth and he is fine. Babies just teethe at different rates. I heard when some babies teeth at five and six months. I was little glad my son started later then earlier.

If you do not see any signs of teething by the end of his eight month take him to see a dentist just to have thing checked out.

My daughter did not show signs of teething until she was nine months. I took her to the dentist at eight months because I was worried too like you. The pediatrics dentist told me to just give her some more time. a week later she started cutting her teeth.

To me it seemed that once one started cutting though they all came out pretty fast.

My twins boys started teething at six months. My sister kids started around seven to eight months. I would say just keep an eye on it. I am sure he will start teething soon.

If you are worried about it seeing a dentist can put your mind at ease. When in doubt taking her to see a dentist is a good idea.

Oh and my sons did not start teething until the where in their eight month.
