Baby Dental Care, Pulling baby teeth too soon

Wednesday, Jun. 23rd 2010 9:16 AM

My six year old has two very bad teeth.  They came in bad and now they are starting to really be an issue.  My family dentist said that we can either do a root canal and crown on both teeth  or pull them.  He said that even though the root canal and crown may cost more that is what he would advise since the teeth in question are molars and he needs them there for at least another five year or so.    I told him I would look into it and advise which way we will go.

Talking things over with my husband we are thinking more to having the teeth pulled.  Reason being is that these teeth were bad from the get go and I think my son would be better off pulling them.  What would happen if we choose to pull them now instead of saving them?  Advise please.
