Dental teeth care, I would like to know ways of protecting my teeth during pregnancy

Saturday, Jul. 3rd 2010 7:29 AM
In the past I have notice that women that were pregnant had gotten bad teeth during pregnancy.  I was told that was do to the fact that  the baby is taking all the nutrients from your body and therefore opening your teeth to decay and leaving you open to gum disease.   Is this true?

This will be my first child and I have great teeth and gums right now but I am worried that I start to have teeth and gum issues.  Is there any way to prevent having these types of teeth and gum worries while you are pregnant?   Please advise any helpful information would be great.

Yes sometimes women do get some gum issues while they are pregnant. This normally will go away after having the child. I had some gum issues around my third to six month.

It is not really a big deal the dentist stay on top of things and my teeth are gums are just find. One year later after having my second son.

Make sure you have good oral hygiene and that you see your dentist. At least during your third month and any time after if your dentist advises you to do so.
