Looking for free baby dental care.

Thursday, Aug. 26th 2010 8:12 AM

My eighteen month old daughter my have a cavity on one of her teeth.  At least it kinda looks that way to me.   I am a signal 19 year old mom and I do not get any help.  I work full time from home but I do not have any dental and I am lucky to have some medical though my work since I do work my own hours.  Is there any dentist that does free dental work for babies?  After all I am not asking for myself but for my daughter.

For free dental services you may want to look int the ADA (American Dental Association) They run a program called Give Kids a Smile. It is for children in a low income family. You may have to qualify but it is worth looking into.

Check to see if you have any dental school and or dental clinics in the area you can take your daughter to. You may not get the dental services for free but they do charge a lot less then just going to your local dentist.

I would suggest that you buy a low cost dental insurance plan like an HMO or get a dental discount plan to help reduce your dental cost for your daughter.

Going to dental clinic and dental schools will get old quick since they normally work on a first come first service and you can be sitting there all day only not to be seen. With a baby that can be very hard to do.

Check into the United Way for free dental care. However really with the United Way and ADA it can be a hit an miss since they normally have set dates for free dental care.

If I knew what state you were in I could try to help you more however you know you can get a dental quote for insurance on this website that may help you out with your dental needs.
