Saturday, Aug. 28th 2010 8:22 AM

I do get dental insurance though my job but I forgot to add my son onto the policy when he turn one and now I have to wait another nine months until then next open enrollment.   I really do not want to have him wait that long to see the dnetist he is going on two now.   Can I get dental insurance for just my son and cancel it when I am able to get him on my plan though work.

It would depend on the the insurance company. Some insurance companies will not write a minor on a plan by themselves. Others my have a year commitments. Make sure you read each plan terms regarding your needs. If you are not sure call member services and confirm.
