Give Kids A Smile program helps families get needed care
During Give Kids A Smile, while another patient giggles at the start of treatment. This year, Dr. Berns and his team provided exams, cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatments and extractions worth more than $6,000. “Although low-income children are usually covered by MiChild and Healthy Kids, some fall through the cracks. We are happy to fulfill this need,” said Dr. Berns. “In addition to free care, we also help the eligible parents apply for MiChild and Healthy Kids Medicaid insurance.”
