For child and adults that are dealing with diabetes, it is important to understand that you have an increased risk of gum disease and should work to maintain the disease how ever possible.  Make sure your dentist is aware that you and or your child is a diabetic so that they can provide the additional care needed, in order to maintain your dental health.
