What is Diagnostic and Preventive Services
Preventive services is a category of dental services in an open network dental benefits contract (PPO’s and Indemity) that usually includes oral evaluations, routine cleanings, x-rays and fluoride treatments. (This may vary depending on the plan and company.) Typically, the same coinsurance percentage applies to all services grouped under diagnostic and preventive services ranging from 80-100 percent covered by the plan.
