How can you tell if your baby has cavities

Question: My daughter’s teeth are just now starting to really come in.  I been brushing them twice a day with warm water and a baby tooth brush.   However how do you know if your baby get a cavity.  What does a cavity look like?  Where do they start?  I would like to know so that I know what I am looking for when I brush her teeth.

Reply: By now your daughter is up then for her first dental appointment. Having regular check ups are the best way to avoid having dental issues. However, I would suggest when you take your daughter to see the dentist ask her dentist to go over what to look for to stay on top of your daughter dental health.
