Baby Dental – Going to the Dentist.

Tuesday, Dec. 22nd 2020 5:36 AM

My son is one year and three months old. I want to start taking him to see a dentist but my general dentist does not see children under five. My dental insurance does not cover for specialist so I can not take him to a pediatric dentist. Do any general dentist look at baby teeth or should I just continue to wait.

Reply: I would try making some phone calls with in your net work if that is the type of dental insurance you have to see if you have any other general dentist you can go to for your child.

Waiting until your son is five to see a dentist in my opinion is just way to long of a time period. They advise you take your child to see a dentist when they cut their first tooth.

You may have to pay out of pocket if your can not find a dentist in your plans net work but I would call and make sure first.
