Baby Dental – Replacing a Missing Tooth/Teeth in Children

Thursday, Jul. 14th 2022 6:15 AM

If your child loses a tooth/teeth either due to an accident or dental care issues there are options you have in order to replace a missing tooth/teeth.  If your child loses a baby tooth due to decay or trauma, your child dentist may suggest doing nothing and waiting for the permanent tooth to come in.

However, if this is still a few years away, the dentist may also decide to put in a temporary artificial tooth. Dental flippers are viable choices in this case. However, if an older child loses a permanent tooth, a bridge or implant might make more sense

It is a good idea to have current dental insurance in place for your child in order to keep your dental care cost more affordable
