Dental work needed on a ten year old

Sunday, Jan. 31st 2010 7:17 PM

I just took my son to the dentist for his check up.   He has two small cavities.  The dentist says they are not really big at  all but should get filled.   I have made the appointment for a week from now.  These are his first cavities.  I thought he was taking good care of his teeth.  I have him brush after breakfast and dinner every day.

I not sure how well he flosses though I tell him to do that to.  Is there anything more I can do.  I would like to avoid any future cavities and I know he is not to happy about having to get the dental work done.  Some good tips please
