Can a five month old baby be teething.

Friday, Apr. 30th 2010 4:47 PM

My daughter just turned five months.  I think she is already teething.  The signs are all there.  She is cranky more so then normal.  She chews on her hands and anything she put in her mouth.  She is drooly.  Her gums look normal though and I do not see teeth coming but I still think she is going to cut a tooth any day now.

My son did not start teeething until he was eight months.  If she is teething,  is five months too soon? Or can babies teeth start to come out at such an early age?   I am not to worried about it either way but would like to know if anyone else baby had their teeth come in at five months.
