Dental Care, I hace a dental abscess and I am pregnant

I have a abscess tooth in the front behind the tooth.  It really starting to hurt and I just found out I am pregnant to top things off.  I know I have to take care of this tooth now ASAP but I am scared.  What will the dentist do to me to fixed the tooth since I am two month pregnant?

Can they pull the tooth and give me a fake on it it place.  Or will a dentist be able to do a root canal and save my tooth?  Please advise me so I will not be so scared about going to the dentist I will be making a dental appointment so I a hoping to get in soon.
