Baby dental teeth care, Dental care for a six year old

Saturday, Jul. 17th 2010 10:21 AM

I have two boys my ten year old has great oral health and always take good care of his teeth.  As a baby I never had any trouble taking care of his teeth.  He was really easy with me on cleaning his teeth untill at three he started brushing his own teeth.

However it is not the case with my six year old.  There are times I still have to brush his teeth for him because he will not brush them himself.  When he does brush I have to be within eye site to make sure he brushing and not just playing around.  He has already at age six has had two cavities. I  am worried he will just keep getting more and more cavities.

I feel if I can not get him to brush right this will be the same story for his adult teeth.  What are some good tips I can try to get him to brush his teeth and to do so without all the hassel I have to go though every day with him.
