Baby Dental Insurance for Maine

When should you get dental insurance for your baby? My son is only seven months old but I am not sure  when he really needs to start seeing and dentist and when I need to buy dental insurance for him.  

I do not have dental benefits on myself so if you have a  really affordable dental plan I could get for the both of us that would be great too.  I thank you for your help
