Caring for your baby gums and emerging teeth.

Thursday, Mar. 29th 2012 7:51 AM

Even before you baby cuts their first tooth you should be into the habit of daily wiping your baby’s gums with a soft damp washcloth.  This is important because bacteria in the mouth can harm emerging baby teeth.

Once your baby cuts their first tooth you can start to use a baby toothbrush.  Just like adult teeth you will want to brush baby teeth twice a day daily.  By the time  your child cuts their first tooth, it is then also time for you to make their first dental appointment. Seeing a dentist regularly is important in maintaining good oral health for your child
