Baby Dental, My son needs dental insurance

Saturday, Feb. 15th 2014 10:35 AM

I am a working mom and dad to my four year old son.   I am lucky the job I have lets me work from home. This save me a ton of money on babysitting or daycare cost. The real issue is, that they do not offer dental insurance.  I am not going to complain to them about that but I have no dental insurance for my son.  I do not care about my self so much but I know my son will need to start seeing a dentist soon.

Answer: When doing your search for dental insurance, you may want to keep in mind many dental insurance plans will not write a policy on only a minor.  You will need to list one adult as head of household.  If it is just the two of you, you can but a couple plan for yourself and your minor son.  This website offers many different dental insurance plan options from PPO to HMO and Indemnity dental insurance plans.  If cost is a factor you may want to start with reviewing HMO plan as these type of dental insurance plan are normally more affordable and fit into most people budget.
