Baby Dental – Bad Breath and Food Bits

One of the major causes for bad breath/morning breath is food particles left in ones mouth. During the night the enzymes in your saliva will break down food particles remaining in between your teeth, on the tongue, or around your gumline. This breakdown process releases volatile sulfur compounds, which give off a bad smell. Brushing our teeth before going to bed at night will help to reduce waking up to bad breath in the morning
