Preventing tooth decay in children

So okay at first my question may seem straight forward.   I have a six month  old daughter,  besides brushing  her teeth,  what are some other things I can to to prevent her having any tooth decay.  Everyone just says to brush your baby teeth twice a day but are there other things I can do.  I want to make sure my daughter does not get any cavities in her baby teeth.
