What is the difference between a pediatric dentist and a family dentist?

Dec. 20th 2009

Pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of dentistry. A pediatric dentist has two to three years specialty training following dental school and limits his/her practice to treating children only. Pediatric dentists are primary and specialty oral care providers for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health needs.

Pediatric dentists Vs General dentist for your baby

Nov. 28th 2009

Pediatric dentist are they  better or just more expensive

My daughter is a few months shy of two years old and will be seeing a dentist soon.  I have a family dentist that is willing to see my daughter but states that it will depend on my daughter if things work out.  I have been seeing him for over ten year my self and feel he is really good.  However my husband feels that we may want to just take our daughter to a pediatric dentist.   He thinks they are better I say they are just expensive.   Your feed back will help us come to a decision.
