Baby Dental, Dental Plan for my six year old

Friday, Aug. 21st 2015 7:51 AM

Question: My son needs to have two dental fillings done, but I do not have any dental insurance.  In the past he would only his normal cleaning and X-rays since my dentist is not to costly I would pay cash for that.

Now that he needs to have the fillings done I am hopping to get some type of plan together that can help me with the cost.  Is it too late?  Can I still get a dental plan when I know he needs to have the filling done?

Answer: You are still able to buy a dental plan or dental insurance even though you know your son needs two fillings. Knowing about what you need is normally okay with most plans. It is when you start work that you run into problems.

Use this website to pull up what plan are available to you. I would advise looking at either an HMO dental insurance or a dental discount plan. Since they normally do not have waiting periods for the type of dental services your son needs.
