Baby Dental – Tooth Decay

Saturday, Dec. 5th 2020 5:48 AM

Can you tell if you baby has any tooth decay? I have a one year old girl and I have been brushing her teeth after her major meals. I do not give her a bottle to sleep with since I do know the dangers of doing that. I would like to know what I should be looking out for when I clean her teeth to know that her teeth are free from cavities. Are there warning signs to tooth decay?

Reply: Normally when a cavity first starts you can not see it. By the time you see a cavity by just looking into her mouth it has been there for some time. Also cavities are sometimes between teeth so once again you can not just see it.

Continue taking good care of your daughter teeth because preventive measures is the first step in keeping a healthy mouth. Also make sure you are taking her in to see a dentist at least twice a year more if advise by the dentist
