filling for a three year old

Thursday, Feb. 4th 2010 7:15 PM

I was brushing my three year old son teeth when I notice a small brown dot.   I tried to brush it off but the spot just stayed on the service of his back tooth.  I make sure he brushes twice a day.  Since I am teaching him to brush on his own I just to a quick check once he done to make sure every thing looks okay

I am now worried that he has some sort of cavity.  He never had one be for and he been to the dentist twice already.  I make a dental appointment for him next Monday.  If it is a cavity will the dentist do a filling?  How big of a filling would it be?  Will it hurt my son?  He is good going to the dentist and is not scared or anything but then all he ever had was a cleaning.  Information please.
