Baby toothache pain in New Hampshire

Jan. 14th 2011

My six year old daughter is having a toothache pain.  It seems to be coming from one of her back teeth.  She was just at the dentist just a little over two months ago and every thing was fine.  Can she get a cavity this fast in such a short  time?  She is going to go to the dentist tomorrow but I like to have some idea as to what is going on.

Washington DC baby dental care, baby toothache

Jan. 4th 2011

My four year old son seems to have a dental toothache in one of  his back molars.  My wife is out of town and I really would not want to bother her while she is away.  I called the dentist but he can not see my son until two days from now.

Is there anything for my son toothache.  He is not in a great deal of pain but it seems to come and go.  Or should I take him to a different dentist that can get him in sooner.

What should you do if your child has a toothache.

Oct. 30th 2010

My son has a toothache but the dentist is already gone for the day.  We have an HMO dental plan so I can not go and see a different dentist and I will have to wait until tomorrow to see if they can take him in that day.

In the mean time I know he is hurting.  He said it hurted him yesterday but he did not say anything to me so I had no idea.  Any tips on stopping the pain until I can get him to the dentist?

Baby Dental Care, My son has an impacted wisdom tooth, No dental insurance

May. 25th 2010

My almost 16 year old son as an impacted wisdom tooth.  He is in a great deal of pain.  My problem is that I had to change jobs this year so our dental insurance will not cover for an extraction for another seven months.   My son is complaining that the toothache pain is giving him a headache as well.

This just started to happen with in the last two days.  I took him to see the dentist so that how I know it is an impacted wisdom tooth.  The thing is I have to have it pulled but can not afford to see an oral surgeon without the insurance and there is no way he can go for seven months without this issue being address.   I need help please.  What can I do to have my son wisdom tooth pulled now? Advise please

Low income no insurance, were to go to get any dental help

My close friend is a single mom with no dental insurance on a very fix low income.  She has two teeth that are so bad they are black.  She says they do not really hurt her all that much but would love to have them taken care of if she could afford to.  The problem is besides the no dental insurance and low income she also has poor credit.

She get some help from a state run program, but that is for her child and not for her to have dental care.   She can to go to emergency hospital  for any bad pain but since it is her teeth they just give her some pain killers and antibiotics.  Which is only a temporal fix.   What can she do to really fix her teeth?

My sixteen year old daughter has a retained baby tooth.

May. 20th 2010

My daughter who is now sixteen has a retained baby tooth.  It the first molar behind her eye tooth.  With in the last two weeks she said that tooth was starting to hurt her a little.  I will be taking her back into the dentist to see if she has something wrong with it.   I am wondering could she get a cavity in that tooth when we just had X-rays two months ago for her normal visit and everything was fine then.

I am worried that if she does have a cavity can the dentist put a filling in a baby tooth?  She does not have a replacement adult tooth for the baby tooth and I would hate for her to lose it and be left with a gap.    What can be done?  Advise please

Can a dentist tell what tooth is causing a child pain

May. 17th 2010

My two year old son seems to be having a toothache.  He say is tooth hurts but does not know which one.  I looked in his mouth but do not see anything out of the norm.  I made a dental appointment for two days from now.  It is the soonest he can get in to see the dentist.

I am just wondering if the child does not know what tooth is hurting him will the dentist know for sure which tooth it is?   Thanks

In need of a Pro-Bono Dentist, I have bad teeth issues.

May. 16th 2010

I am a single mom of three children with no dental insurance.  I get some government help but I receive nothing for my dental needs.  Most of the governmental help I get is for my children which is fine.  However, my teeth are so bad that I am in a great deal of pain.

I went to see a dentist where I was able to scrap up the movie for X-rays and a consult.  The dentist told me I have $7000.00 worth of work that needs to be done.  That is how bad my teeth are.   I have been putting off my teeth for years since all my extra money goes to my kids.
I have started taking some classes in office management.  So that I can offer my children a better life.  Though my teacher stated to me off the cuff that I should fix up my teeth to make a better impression when I start looking for a job.  It was a little hurtful but I know he is only telling the truth.  Where do I look for a pro-bono dental?  There is no way I can afford to have $7000.00 worth of work and need to have help.   Please advise.

Baby toothache, Has this ever happen to you.

May. 15th 2010

Two days ago my son woke me up around four in the morning complaining of a toothache.  I looked in side his mouth and one of his teeth looked like it had a cavity.  There was a brown spot on it and when I touch it he said it hurt.  He was in such pain I really felt bad for him since there was not much I could do at that time in the morning then just consul him the best I could.

Well as soon as it was 10.00 am I called my dentist who is really nice guy and said he would take my son the same day.  My husband is a pilot for American Air Lines and was not due to come home until much latter in the evening.

So I took my son to the dentist and he fix him right up.  My son was much better afterwords and the dentist gave him a mild pain killer prescription.  So by the time my husband got home our son was in bed asleep.

So here is the odd part.  Before telling my husband about our son’s toothache and the day we had, my husband started telling me he may need to see the dentist.  That his tooth started really hurting him around four in the morning and did not stop hurting until around three in the afternoon.  Which was around the time my son got out of the dentist office.   How weird.  My husband tooth has not bother him since then.

Two months pregnant with a terrible toothache

May. 13th 2010

Toothache is making me sleepless in Maryland

I had this really bad toothache for the last two day which as been keeping me awake.  I just got back from the dentist.  I was told by my dentist that I have a large size cavity in my back wisdom tooth.   Up until now I did not need to have it pulled because it was not giving me any problems.
He said normally he would advise getting it pulled.  However since I am two months pregnant he can not pull it.  So he has prescribed  penicillin, vicodin  and a strong mouthwash.   He said it was safe to take while I was pregnant but the vicodin is making me sleepy and I am not sure that would be good for the baby. Also anyone know if it is okay to take the penicillin?
Advise please thank you
