Dental carries is on the rise with children so it is important to take the proper steps in preventive dental care.  Here are some tips that will help you protect your child teeth from tooth decay.

One way to avoid tooth decay in kids it to limit their sugar intake.  Ways that you can do this is by offering only water or low-fat milk to your child instead of sugary drinks such as sodas or fruit juices.

Avoid meal and snack that have a lot of added sugar.  If your child like gum, offer sugarless gum to them.  There are also many sugar free treats and candy options so your child does not have to do without sweets all together, just make wiser choices.
