Dental and Vision Care for New Born

Question: dose a new born need to have dental and vision insurance?  My son is on our health but he is not on our dental insurance plan right now and although I believe our health covers vision not sure he need vision insurance.

Answer: It is best advise that a baby should see a dentist by they time they cut their first tooth or by their first birthday which ever comes first. So it is a good idea to add your son to your dental play to at least meet that suggested requirement.

With regards to vision, your major medical should have eye care benefits, however check with your provider to confirm.  Vision insurance is very useful for frames, lenses, and contacts.  Also basic eye check is offer as well, it meant to save you money off glasses and contact cost.
