At What age should I enroll my child on to my dental and vision plans.

Question: I have a three month old daughter and she currently only on my major medical insurance plan at what age should I add her to the dental and vision plans?

Answer: For the dental the American Dental Association states that a child should see a dentist by their first birthday. Many dentist advises that a child should see a dentist when they cut their first tooth.  Therefore you may want to add your child to the dental plan before their first birthday in order for her to be covered by the time she needs to start seeing a dentist.  As for the vision if possible add her now or as soon as your open enrollment comes up again.
