Nine month old baby and finger foods

What types of finger foods can I give my nine month old baby

This is my first child and I scared of giving her something that she could choke on.  What are good and save finger foods that I can give her.  I have been feeding her cream of wheat and baby food, but I would like to try other more solid foods.
Could use some good advise please.  What food did  you start feeding to your baby ?
