Baby Dental, Cavity, abscess or just teething pain.

Friday, May. 7th 2010 8:06 PM

My fourteen month old daughter has a tooth that is starting to show.  It is not completely out.  Her gums are really red.  Redder then before when other teeth started cutting though.  She also seems to be in more pain compared to the last teeth.   so it is making me worry that she may have a cavity on it (even though I clean her teeth twice a day)  Or possible that she may have an abscess since her gums are all red around the tooth.

I am just not sure about it.  My husband and my mom said she is just fine and she is only teething. I can I know for sure?  Do some teeth just hurt more then others?  Would love to hear from other moms  that have been though this or is going though it now.    Thanks
