What is a good age for you to stop breastfeeding

At what age did you stop breastfeeding your child and why

I am a new mom with my first child (a son)  I am breastfeeding him.  He is now three months but I would like to know about what time should you stop breastfeeding a child.  I am a little confused on when is the correct time to ween.   I know I still have a while let to go but would like to know or have some idea as to what people think on this.
