When is a good time for a baby to be added on to dental insurance.

I just had my new born son four week ago.  He is already covered under major medical though my husband benefits.  However, we have dental benefits though my job. Open enrollment is in Jan of 2013 but my son will not even have teeth yet by then. Should I wait until 2014 or add him on sooner.
