Baby teeth and proper care

How important is it to take care of baby teeth

If  baby teeth just come out anyway over time when your adult teeth come in,  just how important is it to take care of them.  I not saying not to clean them but say you have a cavity in a baby tooth do you really need to pay money to fix it?  I will just come out anyway. So what is the point?
