If you can add your child to your current plan before your child cuts their first tooth then you want to make sure your child is added to your plan. If however, you do not have dental insurance or your current plan open enrollment has past, you may want to buy your child a dental plan to make sure they have dental benefits by the time him or her has cut their first tooth.
