Baby Dental, Holiday Treats Good to Eat But Bad for Teeth

Monday, Nov. 21st 2016 6:12 AM

With Thanksgiving coming up here shortly and Christmas coming right behind it we can tend to eat too many sugary treats. Putting aside what these treat can do to one waist line, they can also have a negative effect on your teeth.

In prior post we talked about the negative effect sugar has on our teeth and how it can lead to tooth decay. Many of our holiday treats have a high sugar content and on top of it they can also be sticky. Sticky sugary treats are a double whammy.

However, this is not to say you can not have such treats. Just when you do make sure to brush your teeth as soon as possible if you can not brush right away then a little flossing will go a long way. If you are not in a place where you can floss at least drink some water after having these types of foods as it will help to rinse off your teeth to some degree.
