Question: I live in California. I do not care what dentist I go to, but the dental insurance plans that are network plans do not have a dentist within 50 miles of me.
Answer: There are some areas in California that, for some plans, do not have local providers. Usually, those areas would be more rural and have fewer dental offices. If this is your case and you wish to stay within 50+ miles, review Dental PPO’s insurance plan options, as they will still benefit outside-network dentists.
In addition to the above, Dental Indemnity insurance plans may also be a good option for you. These plans allow you to see any dentist you choose without being limited to a network.
